At least, even if you do not want to do good, release the children you use to campaign, deceive, and beg for votes during elections.

Today is Children’s Day, yet over children across Nigeria are missing, kidnapped, abused, or killed. Every week, another heartbreaking story surfaces. Another child gone. Another family shattered. And somehow, we move on like it is normal.

This country is currently in shambles, and we cannot keep acting cute about it. Children are becoming victims of insecurity while leaders stay silent and citizens grow numb to the pain.

It may be those children kidnapped today, but it may your niece, nephew, younger sibling, or future child tomorrow.

So Today’s newsletter is dedicated to fighting for justice, safety, and peace. Children deserve protection, not fear. They deserve to grow, dream, learn, and live without constantly becoming headlines.

This Children’s Day, let us lend our voices, demand accountability, and stand for every child whose life matters!

We’ve tried to have this conversation a lot of times, but everybody seems to have an opinion about it!

While there are stories of people who fell in love in 2 weeks and got married a month after, and are living happily, “allegedly”. However, the number of “gone wrong” stories are almost outweighing the good. I mean unless maybe you have been friends with such a prson for an extended period of time. He asked me out in October and, of course, I said yes. But I insisted that I was celibate and wanted to keep it that way, and he agreed for the first one month. In October, he had to travel for a work training sort of thing, and he wouldn’t be back till the end of this month.

Please tell me why I went to visit my elder sister in Port Harcourt, and I told her about my new man and showed her his pictures, and she screamed and asked me if I knew what I was doing. She just went inside and came out with hard copy pictures.

“Can I Tell My Friend About Her Bad Breath Anonymously?”

Here’s a question from a community member this week.

“How do you tell a close friend that they have bad breath without hurting their feelings?

I recently became close friends with a colleague at work because we work closely together, and we’ve developed a really beautiful friendship. Over time, I’ve noticed that she sometimes has very bad breath. She is generally a neat and well-kept person, so I believe it may be a natural or medical issue rather than poor hygiene.

Although we are close, I don’t feel like our friendship has reached that deep, vulnerable level where I can comfortably point out something this personal. You know how sensitive these things can be, and I don’t want to make the relationship awkward or hurt her feelings, especially because she is very sensitive.

I have even thought about sending her an anonymous message because it feels like the easiest way to let her know without creating any awkwardness between us. However, I’m not sure if that is the right approach.

How can I communicate this to her without damaging our friendship, should I proceed with the anonymous message?”

My sisters, it has been a longgg week already, with matters arising everywhere, but look what I found!

So Simi tweeted about men holding each other accountable and just about putting this disturbing crime of rape to an end, and X has been buzzing with some disturbing comments under it.

Woww, just wow!

Hmm…

I never understand how people sometimes inteprete rape discussions and choose to see it as a gender war.
It’s not about attacking men or women.
It’s about calling out an act that is wrong.

And let’s drop this “victims also have their fault” argument for heaven’s sake!
Because what blame do we now give to infants who are molested?
Their diaper size? Their chubby cheeks?

I honestly don’t have a lot to say today, so I’m just going to throw this back to the community.

While I may not know other dynamics to this relationship, what I can see here is that this “colleague” of yours wants friendship with benefits. Because what do you mean you haven’t healed but you want to touch somebody’s body ??

His body also needs healing my sister and you are not even the balm of gilead, so what healing can he get from you ?

No matter how much you’re feeling him girlll, that man may never commit even if you get intimate with him, so if you like him that much, you should probably stay off till he becomes “healed” and can fully commit…

Otherwise, you may be the one needing healing soon my dear sister…

So as usual, I found something hot for you and trust me this one had a lottt of reactions. And I find this interesting because I thought we were doing “women supporting women” and bashing some men for broke-shaming women, but now we’re on against married women for being broke?

I’m not sure when exactly they “banned” married people from going broke sha or, because at this point, it sounds like they did and I’m saying this because “married women money” saga has been going on for a while now!

I work hard, I really do, but lately I’ve been asking myself if I’ve been working on the wrong things

I look at my life and I don’t see progress the way I imagined I would by this age, I don’t have investments, I don’t feel financially secure and that scares me. What makes it heavier is that I’m the first daughter and a lot of family responsibility falls on me, my parents don’t have much and I have younger siblings who depend on me in different ways, that same 250k is doing too many jobs at once

Sometimes I feel depressed, but I don’t even know if that’s the right word, I just feel tired and stuck. Lately, I’ve noticed something I don’t like in myself, I feel a quiet resentment toward my friends who are doing better than me financially

I don’t want to be that person, I don’t want to blame my background or say I had no help, because I really am trying my best to improve my life. Two of my close friends from Uni are doing much better than I am, their careers are at a higher level and their lives look more stable, and they also come from families that are better off than mine. Sometimes when I try to explain why I’m always broke or stressed, they make comments that hurt

They tease me about carrying the load of the world instead of being a baby girl with my money and they subtly say things like my parents should be doing more and not stress me and it used to get to me differently, so I stopped sharing. They also don’t invite me out the way they used to, they say they don’t want to “stress me financially.” They go on trips without me and they attend parties without me, and when I notice, they say things like “We didn’t want you to worry about buying a new dress” or “We know things are tight for you”

I can’t tell if they’re being kind or if they’ve quietly decided I no longer belong in their circle. Now I’m confused about my own feelings

Am I just jealous and projecting my frustration onto them
Are they actually being understanding and I’m taking it the wrong way
Or is this friendship slowly leaving me behind. I don’t like that I feel bitter sometimes, I don’t like that I compare myself and I don’t like that I feel ashamed of my financial situation. I keep asking myself, am I becoming a bad person for feeling this way or is this what happens when life pressure meets friendship

I don’t want to resent people I love, but I also don’t want to keep feeling small and behind, So I’m here honestly, how do I deal with feeling stuck when I feel like I’m trying my best, how do you separate jealousy from valid hurt and how do you know when a friendship is still healthy for you

Is this just a hard season or is this a sign that I need to grow in a different direction, I just really need perspective”

Here’s a story from a community member this week.

“I’m sharing this because I honestly don’t know how to feel or what step to take next, and I need outside perspective.

After I returned from my long leave, I just noticed my boss started giving me a different kind of eye. I had changed physically mostly because I had been on a weight loss routine that helped me lose weight and gain some in the right places and I got plenty of compliments at work and everywhere about it and I could tell my boss had noticed it too. Because he would randomly steal glances at me and give off an energy that made me uncomfortable, but I tried to ignore it.

But in like a week, I received an “anonymous” gift, but it was obvious they were from him because he always sent his assistant with some excuse to pass information to me almost immediately after the gifts arrived.

Just a few weeks ago, I worked late because we had a major project with a tight deadline, I work in advertising so they are days like that, it was like 2 hours after closing and everyone had left, but I ran into him as I was stepping out. He offered to give me a lift home, and I didn’t reject sha. And honestly, after that night, things changed between us.

He started texting me regularly and we were having long calls late into the night. He said things like oh something about me had changed and that he felt we could build something special together and keep things quiet and all of that. He said he was planning to take me out on a date the following week.

Only for me to be at the office just Five days ago, I overheard two colleagues talking. One showed the other person a picture on Instagram and mentioned my boss’s wife in UK. I didn’t ask questions to poke my nose, but I can swear that I heard them clearly and I never ever knew all my time at that office that my boss is married because he never mentioned his personal life, he’s not even on IG and no wedding band!

Since then, everything has been confusing for me. I haven’t been myself and I feel unsettled. What makes it worse is that he has not answered any of my calls or returned my messages for the past five days. I also heard that he traveled out of the country.

Now I’m left with many questions, I don’t even know what to think or how to feel!
Was he ever serious with me?
Why didn’t he mention that he was married?
Why did he not just leave me alone?

I don’t know if I should wait for him to explain when he comes back or if I should block him and move on based on what I’ve seen and heard and maybe just act dumb at the office when he returns and I hate that I’m going to be involved in this kind of drama with my Boss!!!

I don’t even know if this is the person he has been all these while or if I’m just his first victim in the office, I’m so confused.

My biggest fear is how to act normal when he returns to the office. I don’t know how to look at him or work with him without feeling embarrassed or angry.

I just want to know, What is the best way to handle this professionally and emotionally?
Do I confront him, or do I completely cut off contact?
I would really appreciate advice from anyone who has been in something similar.

At least the 90 days in January are almost coming to an end and we have survived, please clap for yourself.

Just read this before you “tie” your man with jazz

It’s just gist o. Before you crucify me.

So I saw this movie a week ago, starring Stan Nze and Inem King and I could not stop laughing, because what do you mean the female lead went and jazzed her “dream man” with kayamata, only to go upstairs and find out that the “dream man” was a stalker and complete psycho who was just obsessed with her as one of his numerous victims!

Now Babe has fed him with enough kayamata to make him “hers” forever (If you still don’t know the kind of locking we’re talking about, I’m afraid I can’t help you pleasee😂)

Babe even came to discover that the “dream man” had inappropriate pictures of random women hidden in his room and had put a tracking thingy in her phone and monitored her every move, so imagine her plight.

Movies these days are really moving in interesting directions and I just wanted to share my latest discovery,

But on a more serious note, one big lesson to take from this plot is: love should never be compelled. Anything you have to force, jazz, trap or manipulate will always come back with premium tears. A man that is “locked” is not in love, he is controlled and control is a dangerous thing.

And honestly, women are far too valuable to be chasing love through fear, desperation or kayamata. The same energy people use to “lock” men, imagine channeling it into building your life, your confidence, your craft and your money. Because real attraction is not in jazz, it’s in growth.

Instead of locking a man, let’s lock in our grind. Lock in consistency. Lock in soft life. Lock in peace of mind. Lock in serious moneyyyy!

Because when you become whole on your own, you won’t need to force love, love will find you without tracking devices and secret rooms full of madness.

“Run. Please run as far as you can.

A 15-year age gap isn’t just about numbers it often means you’re not in the same generation or mindset. You may not think, dream, or see life on the same wavelength. Yes, some people make it work, but only when both parties are willing to compromise and put in real effort. From what you’ve shared, that effort isn’t there.

You’re an ambitious woman. You deserve someone who supports your dreams as much as you support his not someone who tries to shrink you. What I’m hearing is someone who wants to clip your wings. The threats are the biggest red flag. If he’s already talking about hitting you, it only takes one disagreement for that to become real. Violence doesn’t start with a slap it starts with words.

I’ve been in a manipulative, overly controlling relationship before. He isolated me from male friends, then female friends. Even his own friends weren’t “allowed” around me. He slowly made sure I had no one but him. That’s how manipulation works: they isolate you until you’re dependent, then they destroy you.

Please don’t ignore this. I’m still healing this year makes it three years since I left. I don’t want that story to be yours. Run. You deserve better”

So I’ve been seeing this tweet throughout the week and it’s giving Ghen Ghen!

I remember always cringing watching Nollywood movies as a child where some women had to scrape their hair, drink all sorts of disgusting stuff just because her husband died and she had to prove a point.

I will never understand culture that belittles another human being’s pain, just because they are of a gender that seems softer. This is not even me trying to drag lines or anything, but can you just be human????

So it gave me so much joy when I saw this reply, I’m on any side that is giving it hot because at some point, you actually need to stand up!

So maybe this is your cue to stand up for yourself in 2026, stand up to that oppressive or toxic friend or anyone looking at you less less!

Here’s a story shared by a community member this week.

“I’m currently dating someone who is 15 years older. He’s a good man, or at least I think he is.

He’s not as exposed as I’d like, being a very ambitious woman, but I’ve mostly made peace with that because he is a good man. He is extra protective of me and sees me as a trophy he won. However, being with him sometimes feels like it comes from fear. He seems obsessed and never wants to see me with other men so badly that he changed my phone and blocked all the men I had been in contact with.

I like to think it’s maybe because I told him about my escapades with other guys before I met him, and he believes he has succeeded in helping me stay disciplined. But he is obsessed with making sure there is no man in my life trying to get my attention.

I know this sounds bad, sort of, but it isn’t as bad as it sounds. I feel it can be managed.

I later discovered that he has a violent history where he hit his ex. He explained that it was only because she was too indecent, and that he has changed with me because he has never hit me.

He has threatened me a couple of times, but he says he loves and treasures me too much to ever do it.

I don’t know. I want to be with him, but a couple of people in my life are saying no, and I think it’s because I overshared about his past.

I’m just at a crossroad honestly”

Let me just start by saying:

If 2025 was a person, I would have cut her off since.

No seriously what kind of year is this?

What did not happen?

People losing their jobs left, right, and center.

Promotions passing people that were very deserving.

Let’s not even get into the traumatic parts.

And me? I was applying to so many jobs but I still felt like I was walking blindfolded through the whole thing.

And that’s exactly why I’ve decided 2025 will not happen again

I’m done moving aimlessly. Done hoping luck will find me. Done letting the year dictate my pace.

For 2026, I’m taking the wheel. I’m staying ahead every way I can:

• Signing up for courses

• Getting certified

• Reading the books I’ve been putting off

• Putting myself and my journey out there

Where I’m starting from? This bootcamp.

It’s a one-day deep dive into Tech & Product, Content, and Recruitment/Operations, where each mentor breaks down what each path actually looks like, what skills you need, and how to start without wasting time with even entry level jobs you can start applying for.

Because God knows I’m still not 100% sure where I want to pivot but I just want to do 2026 right.
