If you haven’t seen these Temu ads… you have to be under a volcano.
Or perhaps you will still see it. Hopefully🌚. Either way, their ads have been the talk of the week.
Fun fact though: the company actually launched in 2022, but it just sorta got popular overnight.
If you knew them before now though… tell me here I owe you cold juice.
Anyways, my real gist is this. Temu mastered visibility. They made themselves impossible to ignore, and that’s a lesson for all of us.
You can be great at your job, but if no one knows what you are doing...sorry for you o.
You hit a huge milestone at work, and you just pour cold water on it and cover it up like you did nothing.
You don’t communicate with your manager on tasks you are doing to let them know you are on top of things. Especially if you are a remote staff.
You let your visibility fade after one great presentation or task.
Or maybe you even do all of these things, but the LinkedIn profile where employers are supposed to eat you up like sweet Jollof is empty.
My dear, be like Temu; step out of the shadows and let your work shine. You are baking the world’s best cake and locking it inside the fridge.
Hype yourself subtly, talk in meetings. Be THAT team player! People talk, and that’s how your name travels.
Now, just incase you are thinking… "Oh, I don’t want to be that person who’s always shouting about their work." Fairs. But here’s the thing. Visibility doesn’t mean being loud or annoying; it means being strategic. You’re making sure your brilliance doesn’t go unnoticed.
